By the end of the day you’d think I could scrape enough oil off my face to start an engine. It is so disgusting at times I wish I was stuck with the opposite problem of having dry skin which I know those with this particular skin type would beg to differ. I have heard it said that those who have oily skin stay younger looking for much longer. If this is the truth, I do not know but I am sure that time will tell.

I have learned my way around my oily skin, enough to control it a little better throughout the day. Here is what I recommend:

Read more...http://buzz.prevention.com/community/lindsey/tips-and-tricks-for-oily-skin

What Road Does Your Sex Drive Take?

I will say that realistically, this isn’t normally a topic I freely talk about but it is reality and almost everyone has to deal with it from time to time: sex drive. how do we maintain a healthy one?

First off, the misconception of this action is that it’s all based on moods. For women this may be the number one truth but we have to learn not to go by our moods.

The first step in maintaining or getting a healthy sex drive is:
Read more...http://buzz.prevention.com/community/lindsey/what-road-does-your-sex-drive-take
Welcome to Core Rhythms: You Gotta Try This

Who loves to exercise? I do but it has to offer successful results and be fun at the same time. I thought I found my dream workout when I found Billy Blank’s famous workout, Taibo. This is a fun kickboxing and boxing workout which is excellent for stress. Then I found another workout called The Firm. This workout involves a stair climber (Fanny Lifter) and light weights. I saw results with this workout but it wasn’t enjoyable anymore. I found myself alternating between both Taibo and The Firm just to mix it up and so I wouldn’t get bored.

Read More...http://buzz.prevention.com/community/lindsey/welcome-to-core-rhythms-you-gotta-try-this

The fighting Spirit of breast Cancer Survivors

Please check out a blog post one of my buzz blogging peers recently posted.

As I mentioned in previous posts, I have a public health background and have worked with some truly amazing volunteers during my career in non-profit. I worked for the American Cancer Society and helped plan a large-scale fundraising walk in the fight against breast cancer. The life of fundraiser and events planner is both chaotic and stressful. However, those long hours were well worth it because I had the privilege of working with fabulous volunteers.

Read More...http://buzz.prevention.com/community/therese/the-fighting-spirit-of-breast-cancer-survivors
