For all of you that have been pregnant before you of course know the importance of proper diet and exercise during pregnancy. For some, this may come easy but to others not so much.
I myself have been pregnant 3 times and now have another one on the way. This came as a shock since we didn’t expect to have another baby and I worked so very hard to achieve all my fitness goals. I am determined now more than ever to stay fit and healthy during this pregnancy so that I will not have to work so hard to get back to where I want to be. My Siberian Husky has a nervous disorder and we are not quite sure where it came from since this started happening back in 2003. The only thing we can think of is when we started having kids it caused her nerves to go haywire. Don’t get me wrong she’s a great dog and great with kids but I think she felt replaced.

Diabetics don’t fret, there are delicious desserts available to you that won’t raise your blood sugar to harmful levels.
There is one fabulous dessert that a friend of mine enjoys since she is diabetic and strives to find foods that are still enjoyable at all times. Peanut Butter Pie made with Cream Cheese is a low carb treat that even those who aren’t diabetic may enjoy as well.

As I mentioned in previous posts, I have a public health background and have worked with some truly amazing volunteers during my career in non-profit. I worked for the American Cancer Society and helped plan a large-scale fundraising walk in the fight against breast cancer. The life of fundraiser and events planner is both chaotic and stressful. However, those long hours were well worth it because I had the privilege of working with fabulous volunteers.

Many of us may have heard the verse; “A Merry Heart Doeth Good Like A Medicine.” This is very much the truth. There have been many times when feeling down I would get a chance to laugh and all those feelings would just dissolve even if it was for a brief moment. I know that laughter has brought down my blood pressure on several occasions.
